Extensively trialled with SSE, Statoil, Siemens and e.on, MaXccess creates a secure and measured connection by gripping one of the boat landing buffer tubes. This prevents hazardous vertical and horizontal bow motion while allowing the vessel to roll, pitch and yaw freely. This is achieved in a simple and elegant manner without the need for active compensation or prediction of vessel motions.
MaXccess has been in commercial use since August 2012, and is actively improving the safety and cost effectiveness of offshore wind installation and maintenance activities. In addition to providing a safe, secure platform from which technicians can access turbines, MaXccess stabilises the bow of vessels both vertically and horizontally, improving the safety of cargo lifting operations from the foredeck.

MaXccess is available in a range of sizes and configurations to match vessel size and displacement. All MaXccess systems provide a step increase in transfer wave height for a given size of vessel.
During construction, warranty and through life operations, delays due to lack of access result in cost escalations or lost revenue. OP’s MaXccess systems allow transfers in higher wave conditions than are currently possible using crew transfer vessels, ensuring construction maintenance and repair operations can safely continue when vessels using ‘bump and jump’ would be waiting on calmer weather.
